ITS Campus, ITS News \u2014\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0has once again shown its existence on the global stage by occupying a leading position in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (WUR) by Subject 2025. For this success, ITS received appreciation from the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek), Thursday (20\/3) afternoon.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Head of the Institutional Reputation Unit of\u00a0<\/span>the ITS Quality Assurance Office (KPM),<\/span><\/a>\u00a0Sarah Cahyadini ST MT PhD, said that ITS successfully ranked 351 – 400 in the QS WUR by Subject 2025 ranking in the Engineering & Technology category, namely ranking 394. Five scientific fields, namely Architecture & Built Environment, Computer Science & Information System, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and Chemical Engineering managed to occupy the top 500 positions in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

The assessment in this category is based on four main indicators that reflect academic and research quality. Academic Reputation has the largest weighting at 40 percent, followed by Employer Reputation at 30 percent, and Citations per Paper, H-Index Citations, and International Research Network which are each worth 10 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n

More specifically, in the field of Architecture and Built Engineering, ITS is ranked second nationally and is in the world position 201 – 260. Meanwhile, for Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering also managed to achieve 2nd national ranking with world positions 451 – 500 and 351 – 400.<\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in the fields of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Mathematics, ITS is ranked 3rd nationally with world positions of 401 \u2013 450 and 501 \u2013 600 respectively. Meanwhile, in the field of Computer Science, it is ranked 4th nationally with a world position of 551 \u2013 600.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Sarah, the achievement is part of ITS’s commitment to improving academic competitiveness globally. She emphasized that ITS has a great opportunity to continue to grow. “Not only in the fields that are already superior, we believe that ITS’s great potential can bring similar success in other fields,” said the lecturer from the ITS Architecture Department.<\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore, according to Sarah, ITS’s achievement in QS WUR by Subject 2025 is also in line with the institution’s commitment to supporting the achievement of\u00a0<\/span>Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/span><\/a>\u00a0point 4 concerning Quality Education. The superior scientific field, namely Engineering and Technology, contributes directly to the SDGs target, especially point 9 concerning Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

This achievement further strengthens ITS’s position as a Surabaya-based campus that is recognized globally.
