Kampus ITS, ITS News \u2014<\/b> Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS)<\/a> terus mendukung langkah mahasiswanya yang ingin terjun ke ranah internasional. Kali ini, ITS kembali menggelar Global Competencies Workshop (GCW), Sabtu (15\/3) sebagai rangkaian persiapan untuk studi ke luar negeri.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Supervisor GCW Maret 2025 Aria Nalini Farzana menjelaskan, kegiatan yang diinisiasi oleh ITS Global Engagement (GE) ini merupakan lokakarya untuk mahasiswa ITS yang ingin mengikuti pertukaran pelajar, maupun <\/span>lab internship<\/span><\/i> di luar negeri. \u201cLokakarya ini bersifat wajib, terutama untuk mengikuti program-program internasional dari ITS GE,\u201d tutur Alin, sapaannya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lebih lanjut, aa menekankan pentingnya wawasan mengenai internasionalisasi khususnya sebagai seorang mahasiswa. Menurutnya, menempuh studi hingga ke mancanegara dapat membuka banyak kesempatan sekaligus pengalaman yang tidak bisa diperoleh di dalam negeri. \u201cMaka dari itu, kami memfasilitasi persiapan studi teman-teman mahasiswa ITS melalui serangkaian kegiatan ini,\u201d imbuh mahasiswa Departemen Teknik Informatika ITS<\/a> tersebut.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Di sisi lain, Penanggung Jawab Assessment GCW Maret 2025 Lita Sari Banjarnahor menyebutkan beberapa materi yang diberikan untuk membekali peserta. Materi tersebut dibagi dalam tiga sesi yaitu Mastering Interview, Get Prepared, dan Education United States of America (USA). Ketiga materi tersebut disampaikan oleh pemateri yang telah berpengalaman dan tentunya kompeten.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pada setiap sesinya memberikan pembahasan yang berkesinambungan dengan pemateri yang berpengalaman di bidangnya. Sesi <\/span>Mastering Interview<\/span><\/i> membahas tips wawancara beasiswa dengan simulasi 15 menit dan sesi <\/span>Get Prepared<\/span><\/i> membahas persiapan keberangkatan dan penanganan <\/span>culture shock<\/span><\/i>. Adapun sesi terakhir membahas persiapan studi dan program pertukaran ke AS yang disampaikan oleh Education USA Adviser. <\/span><\/p>\n

Di hari yang berbeda, GCW yang dilaksanakan selama dua periode dengan dua hari setiap periodenya sejak Sabtu (8\/3) dan (15\/3) ini juga memfasilitasi persiapan <\/span>curriculum vitae<\/span><\/i> (CV) dan <\/span>motivation letter<\/span><\/i>. Keduanya banyak ditemukan dalam pemberkasan untuk program internasional, bersamaan dengan skor International English Language Testing System (IELTS). \u201cKami menghadirkan International Development Program (IDP) Surabaya untuk pembekalan seputar IELTS,\u201d ungkap Lita.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Melalui lokakarya ini, Lita dan Alin sama-sama berharap para peserta dapat memaksimalkan persiapan untuk mengejar peluang studi ke luar negeri. Tak hanya memahami aspek teknis seperti wawancara dan persiapan dokumen, tetapi juga siap untuk beradaptasi di lingkungan global. \u201cKami harap lebih banyak mahasiswa ITS yang berani terjun di bidang internasionalisasi,\u201d tutup Alin. <\/span>(*)<\/b><\/p>\n
