Tepat malam sebelum kompetisi bidang Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi tersebut berlangsung, Selasa (5/10), diadakan acara Welcome Party menyambut 376 finalis dari seluruh perguruan tinggi negeri maupun swata di Indonesia. Bertempat di Gedung Robotika ITS, acara ini diramaikan dengan serangkaian hiburan musik live show dan seni tari.
