Dengan mengangkat tema "Ekstensifikasi Pemanfaatan Energi Terbarukan dan Peningkatan Efisiensi Energi dalam Rangka Penguatan Daya Saing Global". Acara rutin tiap dua tahunan ini, resmi dibuka Pejabat Sementara Rektor ITS, Prof Dr Ir Muhammad Nuh DEA, di ruang sidang Rektorat ITS lt 3. Turut pula dihadiri duta besar Perancis untuk Indonesia, Mme Catherine Boivieau.
