https://www.its.ac.id/news/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2017/11/2107.jpeg300205ITS dipercaya Jepang untuk bekerjasama menangani Predict (Project for Research and Education in ICT). ITS merupakan satu-satunya perguruan tinggi Indonesia yang ikut terlibat dalam proyek yang rencananya diadakan akhir November atau awal Desember 2005. Tiga jurusan di ITS, yaitu Teknik Elektro, Teknik Informatika dan Sistem Informasi, dilibatkan untuk menangani proyek ini.
