Kerjasama dalam bidang perencanaan daerah, tata ruang, teknologi dan Informasi, serta pendidikan pun akan segera dilaksanakan. ITS diharapkan dapat membantu pengembangan kabupaten hasil pemekaran dari kabupaten Kutai Barat yang masih berusia 16 bulan ini.
