Kejadian tersebut bermula ketika ribuan mahasiswa baru (maba) muslim 2015 berbondong memasuki pelataran masjid untuk melaksanakan shalat shubuh berjamaah. Tak ayal, area parkir mobil Masjid pun menjadi pelataran shalat untuk menunaikan kewajiban sebagai muslim karena membludaknya jamaah.
