Oleh karena itulah, tiga mahasiswa pascasarjana Jurusan Teknik Elektro ITS berusaha mengembangkan riset tentang Sistem Komunikasi Jarak Jauh. Bahkan, mereka mampu mempromosikan riset ini hingga ke negeri Cina dalam Union Radio-Scientifique Internationale (URSI).
