Dalam ajang Indonesian Mechanical Innovation Competition (IMIC) 2010, dua karya mahasiswa ITS menborong juara I dan II dalam kategori Alternative Energy Competition (AEC). Melalui sebuah mini power plan (pembangkit listrik, red) tiga mahasiswa Teknik Mesin ITS, Nur Huda, Dody Vicktorio Fanta dan Mirza Ghulam Indra Laksana ini mendapat tantangan dari Walikota Surabaya untuk memecahkan persoalan sampah Surabaya.
