Surabaya, ITS News — The Student Mechanical Workshop Institute (LBMM) of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) once again held a community service activity through the Pertamina Enduro Engine Tune Up 2026. Through this program, LBMM provides free vehicle service for the people of Surabaya City while educating them about the importance of regular engine maintenance.
This annual series of events began with basic automotive training for high school and vocational school students at the end of May. It culminated in free service on Saturday (June 6th). To ensure the smooth running of the event, Pertamina Enduro provided quality lubricants for use throughout the event.
Ahmad Faiz Ihza Nuruddin, the Executive Chairman of Pertamina Enduro Engine Tune Up 2026, explained that the collaboration with Pertamina is based on a shared vision of increasing public awareness of the importance of vehicle maintenance. He added that this collaboration also serves as a means for students to apply the knowledge they gain in college to practical applications in the community.
In this activity, 85 students from the ITS LBMM were deployed directly as mechanics to handle various vehicle issues for the community. “This supports us in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles according to the competencies learned during our studies,” said the student, known as Faiz.

In addition to providing free service, the 2023 Mechanical Engineering student stated that he and his team also provided various supporting programs. One of these was the provision of driver’s license (SIM) and vehicle registration (STNK) renewal facilities through a collaboration with the One-Stop Integrated Administration System (SAMSAT).
Next, there’s a free health checkup service in collaboration with the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University (BEM FK Unair). Visitors can enjoy the checkup, which includes blood pressure and blood sugar levels, as well as a basic physical examination. “The excitement of this event is further enhanced by the inclusion of motorcycle maintenance socialization, a local MSME food bazaar, and a live music stage ,” he continued.
This community-benefiting activity also supports Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 7 on Affordable and Clean Energy and point 12 on Responsible Consumption and Production. “Through this activity, we hope to address the community’s needs, particularly in terms of personal vehicle maintenance and education,” Faiz emphasized.
