ITS Campus, ITS News – The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) continues to expand its reach on the international stage. This was demonstrated by ITS’s collaboration with the Higher School of Economics (HSE) University at the four-day International Partnership Week (IPW) in St. Petersburg, Russia, which began on Tuesday (May 19).
ITS Rector Prof. Dr. (HC) Ir. Bambang Pramujati, ST, MScEng, PhD, revealed that IPW serves as a platform for ITS to strengthen international connections. Bambang also spoke as a speaker and held discussions with global partner campuses, including one regarding the continuation of the existing collaboration with HSE University.

The lecturer from the ITS Department of Mechanical Engineering explained that the long-standing collaboration between ITS and HSE University is in the areas of business management and product design. As a technology university, ITS has offered to expand the collaboration to include science and technology. “We hope this collaboration can be expanded to include science and engineering,” he said.
Furthermore, Bambang also explained the various internationalization programs at the Campus of Heroes, ranging from efforts to realize ITS’s pillars as a global campus to ITS’s experience and impact on the global stage. “We strive to build collaborations with partner campuses, ranging from campus mobility, double-degree programs, to joint research ,” explained the Professor of the ITS Department of Mechanical Engineering.

The collaboration hearing was well-received by HSE University First Vice Rector Anna Tyshetskaya. She noted that the two universities share similar educational and research standards, making it easy for them to pursue broader collaboration. “Opportunities for collaboration in innovation and technology are crucial amidst the rapid flow of technology,” she said.
Closing the meeting, ITS and HSE University expressed their hope that every new opportunity they have pursued will be successful. One example is the double degree program at HSE University, which offers an internationally recognized learning experience. Furthermore, this collaboration aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly point 4 on Quality Education and point 17 on Partnerships to Achieve the Goals. (*)
