ITS Campus, ITS News – The Faculty of Medicine and Health (FKK) at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) has officially announced the results of the selection process for new students through the General Independent pathway for the Medicine Program, through the official ITS website on Tuesday (8/8). With intense competition, the ITS Medicine Program has admitted only the top 50 prospective new students out of a total of 2,998 applicants.
The ITS Medicine Program, which was officially inaugurated in 2023, only accepted prospective new students through the General Independent selection pathway due to limited time. Dr. Eng Unggul Wasiwitono ST MEngSc, Head of the ITS Admissions Sub-Directorate, explained that the competition among prospective students for this program was quite fierce. Only 1.67 percent of participants managed to pass the selection process out of the overwhelming number of applicants.

The Mechanical Engineering Department lecturer also reminded prospective students to follow the registration procedure once accepted into the ITS Medicine Program. Participants are required to undergo a health test on August 9-10, 2023. “Participants who pass the health test are required to complete their re-registration from August 10-12, 2023,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, Unggul revealed that prospective students who have completed the registration process will proceed with a series of new student activities on their designated schedule. As known, the sequence of new student activities at ITS for the year 2023, such as Spiritual and National Training, New Student Inauguration, and others, have already been conducted earlier. “No need to worry, new Medicine students will receive the same treatment as other new students,” he reassured.

Lastly, Unggul expressed his hope that all prospective students who have successfully been accepted will always follow the re-registration process and the series of activities according to the predetermined schedule. “With the opening of this new program, the hope is that ITS will produce qualified and innovative doctors for Indonesia,” he concluded.
