ITS Campus, ITS News — Ready to make Indonesia proud, the Anargya electric vehicle research team from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) launched its newest car, the Anargya Formula EV Mark 5.0. The racing car, which will compete in the Formula Society of Automotive Engineers (FSAE) Australasia 2025 in Australia, was officially launched at the ITS Research Center Building on Friday (11/28) afternoon.

ITS Anargya Team Supervisor Alief Wikarta ST MSc Eng PhD stated that in 2025, the Anargya Team will be participating in two FSAE competitions simultaneously for the first time in a year. Having achieved success at FSAE Japan 2025, the Anargya Team is optimistic about bringing home the championship at FSAE Australasia 2025. “This is both a challenge and a celebration of the Anargya Team’s full year of work,” said the ITS Mechanical Engineering alumnus .

Meanwhile, Murdiono, SKom, MKom, Head of Student Data and Welfare at the ITS Directorate of Student Affairs, stated that ITS will continue to support its students to achieve success on the international stage. He is confident that ITS students can compete in the renewable energy industry through their innovations. “Let the entire ITS academic community continue to support the innovations born from this Campus of Heroes,” he urged.

On the same occasion, Dendi Satria Romadhan, General Manager (GM) of the ITS Anargya Team, explained that the Anargya Formula EV Mark 5.0 features the latest electrical component developments. Compared to the previous generation of Anargya cars, this innovation focuses on the powertrain components. “Faster than last year, this car has a top speed of up to 94 kilometers per hour,” added the ITS Industrial Mechanical Engineering student.

The car, which will be raced at Calder Park Raceway in Australia, also uses a high-performance lithium-ion battery. This battery is paired with an 80-kilowatt Emrax 208 Medium Voltage motor. This combination provides significant performance improvements along with optimal power efficiency.

Dendi revealed that the 271-kilogram electric racing car uses a tubular space frame chassis made of JIS STKM 13B carbon steel. Furthermore, this electric car has specifications of 3,503 meters long, 1,465 meters wide, and 1,283 meters high. “The car body is built through a wet lay-up process using fiberglass composite material with a Nomex honeycomb core,” he explained.

Furthermore, the car is equipped with side wings that provide downforce and improve cornering stability. With this innovation, Dendi and his team hope to pass the technical inspection and fully participate in all aspects of the dynamic event assessment at FSAE Australasia 2025. “With the innovation we’ve brought, we will strive to achieve maximum success,” he said optimistically.

In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) , ITS demonstrates concrete actions in facilitating its students’ achievement. This aligns with SDG point 4 on Quality Education and point 9 on Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. (ITS Public Relations)
