ITS Campus, ITS News — The academic community of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) has once again achieved an achievement at the national level, namely through a student team called the ITS Consultant Team which won first place in the 2025 FTIRS Business Case Competition (FBCC). This prestigious competition, organized by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Industrial Technology and Systems Engineering (FTIRS) ITS, has been running since August and reached its peak in the final held at the ITS campus, last Sunday (14/9).

FBCC 2025 is a national-scale business case competition involving leading universities in Indonesia. The competition requires participants to solve a real-life problem: a textile company facing significant challenges due to falling market prices due to imports, resulting in significant profit declines and competitive difficulties.

ITS Consultant Team Leader Anugerah Pratama Manurung explained that his team offers four strategic solutions through the MOFI (Marketing Solution, Operational Solution, Finance Solution, Innovative People) approach, which focuses on Marketing, Operational Finance, and Human Resources, designed in a comprehensive and structured manner. “The main focus of this strategy is rebranding the company by emphasizing local values of Indonesian culture as its brand identity, thereby attracting the attention of the market, especially the younger generation,” he explained.

The ITS Consulting Team conducted a business case study presentation.

According to Anugerah, the solution is supported by in-depth analysis using the TOWS (Threats, Opportunities, Weaknesses, and Strengths), SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats), and PESTLE (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, and Legal) methods. Furthermore, it also includes the development of an integrated website design and supporting applications to enhance the company’s competitiveness.

This 2022 Chemical Engineering student expressed his hope that this strategy would not only solve corporate problems but also strengthen the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as ambassadors of Indonesian culture. “Through this strategy, we want to bring local works and cultural heritage to the world stage and open up broader market opportunities for MSMEs,” said the young man from Bali.
