ITS Campus, ITS News — Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) signed an Equity World Class University (WCU)/The Impact Ranking Program Contract with 23 State Universities with Legal Entity Status (PTN-BH) at Artotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday (26/8). This event, organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek), is a strategic step in strengthening the international recognition of Indonesian universities.
ITS Rector Prof. Ir. Bambang Pramujati, ST, MScEng, PhD explained that ITS received a funding allocation of Rp 74.8 billion through this program. The funds will be focused on research, publications, and innovation. The remainder will be directed towards supporting campus internationalization. “We will use this support to bring in visiting professors and increase opportunities for study and research abroad,” Bambang said confidently.

Furthermore, the 13th rector of ITS emphasized that the success of the equity program is not only determined by funding, but also by strengthening collaboration. He asserted that ITS will continue to be open to collaborating with domestic and foreign universities, industries, and international strategic partners. “The current era is an era of collaboration. The wider the network that is built, the stronger ITS’s position in the global arena,” he said.
Bambang also mentioned that the impact of this program will be directly felt by the academic community. Students will be given more opportunities to participate in research and innovation projects, while lecturers will have the space to strengthen their research capacity and international networks. “We want the benefits to be concrete, both in terms of the quality of learning and research outputs that are beneficial to society,” he added.

He also invited the entire academic community to work together to make this program a success. “The equity program is a joint effort by the ITS family. By working together, the campus’s global achievements can be accelerated for the sake of making a real contribution to the nation,” said Bambang optimistically.
In closing, the man born in Yogyakarta revealed that this step is also in line with ITS’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly point 4 on Quality Education and point 17 on Partnerships for the Goals. “We want ITS’s involvement in this equity program to be a concrete step towards making Indonesian universities world-class and having an impact on society,” said Bambang hopefully.
