ITS Campus, ITS News — Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) again held Generasi Integralistik (Gerigi) as a place to encourage the enthusiasm of first-year students in 2024. Being the gateway for first-year students into the campus environment, Gerigi ITS is expected to ignite the spirit of the togetherness of first-year students in contributing to campus and society.

ITS Rector Ir Bambang Pramujati ST MScEng PhD said that Gerigi is the beginning of the first-year students’ journey through campus life, which is full of learning and valuable experiences. “Gerigi aims to create a sense of brotherhood and togetherness through a series of activities,” he said.

As a surprise on the second day of the Gerigi ITS 2024 event, Surabaya Mayor Eri Cahyadi ST MT and Deputy Governor of East Java for the 2019-2024 period Emil Elestianto Dardak BBus MSc PhD successfully aroused the enthusiasm of the first-year students.

Eri said that ITS is a campus that successfully produces graduates with high fighting values. Eri also stated that ITS graduates greatly contribute to Indonesia, especially Surabaya. “Therefore, make the heat of Surabaya a whip of enthusiasm so that ITS again brings out great graduates,” he added.

Also channeling enthusiasm, Emil Dardak explained that ITS students should be proud to have many opportunities and facilities to develop their potential that can play a role in the upturn of Indonesia and the world. “The value of strong integrity must be owned and applied to continue to bring valuable and useful innovations,” he said, looking proudly at the ITS 2024 students.

With the theme Rentangan Prakarsa, Gerigi ITS 2024 transforms into a warm handshake to welcome the 2024 first-year students as the new ITS family.
