ITS Campus, ITS News — Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with six partner universities on Friday (23/8). The activity, which took place at the Morazen Hotel, Surabaya, was to help engineering and non-engineering study programs from the six partner universities to be internationally accredited.
Opening the event, ITS Vice Chancellor II for Planning, Finance and Infrastructure Dr Ir Machsus ST MT said the six partner universities that signed the MoU with ITS were the Siliwangi Institute of Keguruan and Education Sciences, Singaperbangsa University of Karawang, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, Andalas University, Dinamika University, and Muhammadiyah University of Malang. “We, ITS, will support study programs in these partner universities so that they can go international,” said Machsus in his speech.
The ITS Civil Infrastructure Engineering Department lecturer revealed that ITS will also assist the study programs of the six partner universities to achieve international accreditation targets. “It is not enough if only signing MoUs and workshops, ITS will assist these six partner universities so that they can achieve (international) targets,” explained Machsus again.
Through the signing of this MoU, Machsus hopes that the six partner universities can realize internationally accredited study programs. The study programs are also expected to seek cooperation with various international parties. “This program must be complemented by the efforts of each study program,” Machsus concluded.
Meanwhile, Head of the ITS Quality Assurance Office (KPM) Prof Dr Ir Aulia Siti Aisjah MT explained that this event is a grant facilitation program from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) RI and ITS.
Following up on the signing of the MoU, a three-day workshop was also held with two themes. Namely, the Educational Paradigm in the 21st Century and Outcomes Based Accreditation on the first day, as well as the Design and Implementation of Outcomes Based Education (OBE) on the second and third days.
