ITS Campus, ITS News — The Anargya electric vehicle research team from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) continues to intensify the spirit of student research in various prestigious events. Not only in the international competition arena, the Anargya ITS Team also showed off in Indonesia’s largest automotive exhibition, the 2024 GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), which was held at ICE BSD City, Tangerang Regency, for 10 days until July 28.
The person in charge of the Anargya ITS Team at GIIAS 2024 Muhammad Fajri Ajiputra Santosa explained that the team’s participation in the event was a step to introduce the innovation of electric vehicles by ITS students. This marks the Anargya Team’s participation in GIIAS for the first time. “We are also the only student research team exhibiting work at this prestigious exhibition,” said the student who is familiarly called Fajri.
Alongside hundreds of well-known automotive companies, Fajri revealed that one of the Anargya ITS Team’s innovations, the Anargya Formula EV Mark 3.0 car on display, received a positive response. He admitted that visitors were enthusiastic to learn more about ITS and its research team. “Not only from Indonesia, visitors from foreign countries such as Singapore and India also look very enthusiastic,” he said proudly.
On the other hand, Fajri added that the organizers also appreciated the research spirit of the Anargya ITS Team at GIIAS 2024. This appreciation is shown through an activity entitled GIIAS Education Day, where the Anargya team will explain about its research and innovation to students visiting the exhibition. According to the young man born in Jakarta, this activity further strengthens the work of the Anargya ITS Team in the field of education.
The student of the ITS Department of Industrial Mechanical Engineering revealed the attraction at the Anargya Team booth. Visitors can feel the experience as if driving an Anargya Formula EV Mark 3.0 electric car through a simulator attached to the car frame (chassis). This, of course, immediately attracted a lot of attention from visitors at the automotive exhibition. “We created a simulator machine inside the chassis and visitors can play Formula 1 games with our car,” explained Fajri.
The spirit of student research and the enthusiasm of the community has strengthened Fajri and the team’s confidence to compete in FSAE Japan 2024 in September. He hopes that support from various parties for the student research team will continue to flow along with the increasing recognition of their innovations. “Student research and innovation must be accompanied by support so that it can continue to advance rapidly,” he said hopefully.
