ITS Campus News – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) held The 126th Graduation Ceremony completely offline again for the first time after several graduations were held both online and hybrid (online and offline). The two-day graduation on Saturday-Sunday, September 24-25, 2022, was carried out with strict health protocols, located at Graha Sepuluh Nopember ITS Building.

At The 126th ITS Graduation Ceremony, a total of 3,525 graduates were inaugurated by ITS Rector Prof. Dr. Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng IPU AEng, consisting of Applied Bachelor (D4), Bachelor (S-1), Master (S-2), and Doctoral ( S-3). “A total of 1082 graduates managed to graduate with cum laude predicate,” said The Rector familiarly called Ashari.

The 126th Graduation Ceremony ITS was carried out for two days to avoid too many crowds. The first day was attended by graduates from the Faculty of Science and Data Analytics (FSAD), the Faculty of Industrial Technology and Systems Engineering (FTIRS), the Faculty of Marine Technology (FTK), and the Interdisciplinary School of Management and Technology (SIMT). “A total of 1,728 graduates on the first day,” explained the ITS Professor of Electrical Engineering.

Furthermore, on Sunday (25/9) tomorrow, the second graduation session will be attended by 1797 graduates from the Faculty of Civil, Planning and Earth Engineering (FTSPK), Faculty of Electrical Technology and Intelligent Information Technology (FTEIC), Faculty of Creative Design and Digital Business (FDKBD), and the Faculty of Vocational (FV).

Some of the graduates who managed to come out as the best graduates at this Graduation Ceremony, Doctoral program (S-3), the title of the best graduate was won by Ermawati from the Statistics study program with a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.00. Selvi Mardalena from the Department of Statistics for the Doctoral program and Holilah from the Department of Chemistry earned the same GPA of 4.00.

Furthermore, Wiwik Anggraeni from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Heppy Kristijanto from the Department of Civil Engineering, Mudji Irmawan from the Department of Civil Engineering, and Anny Yuniarti from the Department of Computer Science also successfully achieved a GPA of 4.00 in the S-3 program.

The best graduate of the Master’s program was achieved by Zulfan Febriawan from the Department of Biology with a GPA of 4.00. Dea Adlina Tiara Wibowo from the Department of Civil Engineering Transportation Engineering Management Master program (S-2) also achieved a perfect GPA. There were also three graduates from the Informatics Engineering Department’s S-2 Program who managed to achieve a GPA of 4.00 and came out as the best S-2 graduates, namely Abid Famasya Abdillah, Doni Putra Purbawa, and Aldinata Rizky Revanda.

For the best undergraduate (S-1) graduates, Alvin Christy Lemuel from the Product Design Department achieved an almost perfect GPA of 3.96. The best graduate from the Applied Bachelor program (D4) was achieved by Kharin Octavian Ranto with a GPA of 3.85. In addition, ITS also graduated 23 international students.

Appreciation was also given to the 126th Graduation participants from the youngest to the oldest. The youngest graduate was Naufal Shafiy Putra Angkasa from the Department of Marine Engineering for the S-1 program at the age of 19 years and 10 months. While the oldest graduate was achieved by Aditya Sutantio from the Department of Civil Engineering for the S-3 program at the age of 63 years and 4 months with a GPA of 3.95.

In his speech, Ashari congratulated all graduates and advised the alumni to continue to build good character and to continue to study out there even though they already have the best title in this era of the industrial revolution 4.0. “Congratulations on your work, advance your country, accelerate your nation,” he finally congratulated all the graduates.
