ITS Campus, ITS News – To support the development of quality human resources (HR), Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) received financial assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB). The funds planned for the construction of innovation center infrastructure. According to ADB’s socialization was delivered on the last day of the 2022 ITS Leadership Meeting, Sunday (9/1).

ITS Vice-Rector IV Bambang Pramujati ST MSc Eng Ph.D. said that the focus of ADB funding this year was capacity building or the construction of buildings and towers for the innovation center at ITS. It was known that The ITS received funding from ADB was equivalent to development funds for the next five years.

It is planned that the buildings will be filled with prototyping equipment equivalent to industrial quality. This is following the purpose of building these buildings, Namely increasing human resources for lecturers, education staff, and students. “The buildings will be provided with prototyping equipment. It can use by lecturers, staff, and students,” he explained.

Some of the buildings and towers that are planned to be built with this fund are the Maritime Center building, Creative Center building, ICT and Robotics Center building, Automotive Center building with a circuit track, Cultural and Language Center building, and the ITS tower. These buildings will build in the ITS Science Techno Park area.

Bambang said that the construction of the buildings is planned to start in the middle of 2022. “Currently, development planning and tender documents are still being carried out for the construction of these buildings,” explained the lectures mechanical Engineering Department further.

In the end, Bambang hopes that these buildings can have a quality that is equivalent to the industry so that later students can also gain experience like working in the industry. “Hopefully, students have a good interest and experience to work in the industry,” concluded the man from Yogyakarta.
