ITS Campus, ITS News – Target better financial transactions, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the Higher Education Financial Ecosystem with PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI. In the ceremony held at Plaza dr Angka ITS, Thursday (11/11), BNI also donated operational vehicles to ITS.
Several ITS and BNI leaders attended, the signing was carried out by ITS Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ir Mochamad Ashari MEng and BNI Director of Institutional Relations Sis Apik Wijayanto. ITS encourages a digital and integrated financial ecosystem in the campus area through this memorandum of understanding.
ITS Vice Rector IV Bambang Pramujati ST MScEng Ph.D. revealed ITS did not stop making improvements, one of which was the financial ecosystem. “The salary system for lecturers and employees to pay the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) has passed BNI as one of our partners,” said the lecturer born in Yogyakarta.
Not only payroll needs, but Bambang also said that the infrastructure around the ITS campus requires a better payment process. Using digital transactions such as cashless or cashless payment systems, internet banking, and mobile banking, Bambang hopes that the payment process at ITS facilities will be much easier. “We have a canteen, and in the future, we will have a cafe. Through this collaboration with BNI, we will try to see if such a payment system is possible,” he continued
Furthermore, Bambang explained that research finance management would be easier. In addition to control, research funds will also be easier to audit through this financial ecosystem. “If such a system can be built and developed, later research funds will also be easier to monitor and evaluate,” he explained.
Seeing the success of the digital payment system outside the campus area, Bambang is optimistic about the success of the Higher Education financial ecosystem on the ITS campus. “This Higher Education Financial Ecosystem will make things easier. Accountability, transparency, and convenience will be better than before,” he said hopefully.
Not only signing a memorandum of understanding, but BNI also donated one operational vehicle unit, the Toyota Alphard. Bambang said there had been no detailed discussion regarding the operation of this car. The grant vehicle will likely be used for the functions of the Chancellor, the leadership, and institutional guests. (ITS Public Relation)
