ITS Campus, ITS News — The Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) received a donation of hundreds of copies of alumni profile books dedicated by the ITS Alumni Association (IKA). The special donation of 423 copies was received directly by ITS Rector Prof. Dr. (HC) Ir. Bambang Pramujati, ST, MSc, PhD, on Thursday (30/4).
The literary work, ” 100 ITS Alumni, the Pride of the Alma Mater, ” is a collection of track records of the career successes and contributions of ITS alumni. This book was independently donated by 19 alumni who now hold strategic positions in various institutions. It also documents the journey of alumni of the Campus of Ibu Yang Luhur in various sectors.

Bambang stated that this book can serve as a bridge of information for the younger generation to understand the dynamics of the working world through the experiences of senior practitioners. The success stories summarized within are expected to provide a foundation for ITS graduates in starting their careers. “It also serves as a compass for students in determining their career direction and contribution to the nation,” said the ITS Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
According to him, this effort is also expected to further strengthen the family ties within the ITS Student Association (IKA ITS) and strengthen ITS’s image as a producer of future Indonesian leaders. This documentation demonstrates ITS’s commitment to upholding the institution’s reputation as a campus that produces national leaders and innovators. “ITS is committed to continuing to uphold the institution’s reputation as one of the producers of leaders and innovators,” he emphasized.

The book’s editor, Bambang Sadono, attended the handover ceremony. He explained that the book’s release is part of a broader mission to showcase the superior human resources of ITS graduates. “To showcase the contribution of ITS’s best resources so that society and the nation can maximize their potential,” he said.
Several alumni also donated large quantities of books. Pertamina Downstream Vice President Setyo Pitoyo donated 100 copies, while PT Butonas Petrochemical CEO Ir. Lukman Mahfoedz donated 50 copies. Additionally, Hendra Iswahyudi from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and marketing expert Hermawan Kartajaya each donated 25 copies.

Closing the meeting, the man from Blora hinted at the possibility of a second edition in the future. He stated that his team is still collecting data on influential ITS alumni figures not yet featured in the first edition. This step is being taken to document more alumni contributions.
This initiative by ITS and the ITS Student Association (IKA ITS) reflects the Campus of Heroes’ commitment to strengthening its alumni network and supporting the development of superior human resources. This effort aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4, which focuses on quality education by providing sources of inspiration for students. Furthermore, this initiative supports point 17, which focuses on partnerships to achieve goals through collaboration. (*)
