The ITS contingent after attending the 38th Pimnas awards ceremony at Hasanuddin University, Makassar

Makassar, ITS News — The long journey of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) contingent team has reached its culmination at the closing ceremony of the 38th National Scientific Week (Pimnas) in 2025 at the JK Sports Hall, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Arena, Makassar, Thursday evening (11/27). ITS successfully won ten championship awards at the event held by the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek).

With 12 teams competing in the final round, the ITS contingent won five gold medals, two silver medals, two bronze medals, and one favorite, the Feedkoi Team from the Student Creativity Program for the Application of Science and Technology (PKM-PI) at this year’s Pimnas. This medal win also placed ITS in the top five universities in this prestigious national event.

The ITS SGREEFIT team won a silver medal in the PKM-VGK Presentation Category at the 38th Pimnas event.

In the poster category, ITS teams won two gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal. The gold medals were won by the Zincdac Team from the PKM Riset Ekstrakta (PKM-RE) and the Space Solar Team from the PKM Ide Futuristik Tertulis (PKM-GFT). The silver and bronze medals were won by the Eyexaminer Team from the PKM Karsa Cipta (PKM-KC) and the Biogrowth Team from the PKM Riset Ekstrakta (PKM-RE).

Meanwhile, in the presentation category, the ITS team won three gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal. The gold medals were won by the TBCare Team from PKM-KC, the Osmoinc Team from PKM Karya Inovatif (PKM-KI), and the Space Solar Team from PKM-GFT. The silver medal was won by the SGREEFIT Team from PKM Video Ide Kreatif (PKM-VGK), while the bronze medal was won by the Eyexaminer Team from PKM-KC.

With the hard work of the ITS team in this largest national student scientific competition, ITS Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Nurul Widiastuti SSi MSi PhD, expressed her enthusiasm and appreciation for the efforts of the entire ITS contingent. Nurul said that the achievement of the championship results was the fruit of the hard work and perseverance of students and supervisors. “Even with the limited number of competing teams, ITS still provided a satisfactory number of medals,” she said proudly.

The ITS Chemistry Department professor also hopes that ITS can continue to improve the quality of student work, which will lead to it reclaiming the overall championship title next year. He also hopes ITS can continue to strengthen scientific research collaboration between students and expert lecturers. This is also in line with point 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) , namely Partnerships to Achieve Goals. (ITS Public Relations)
