ITS Builds Future Leaders through the Future Leader Forum 2025

ITS Campus, ITS News — In order to commemorate its 65th Anniversary, the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) through the Directorate of Student Affairs held the Future Leader Forum 2025. This series of inspiring forums took place for three days, starting last September 16, with the aim of strengthening the mental, leadership, and career readiness of ITS students in facing the world of work.

The culminating event, held at the Auditorium of the ITS Research Center Building on Thursday (September 18), also served as a significant moment for the awarding of awards to 92 ITS scholarship partners. ITS Rector Prof. Dr. (HC) Ir. Bambang Pramujati, ST., MSc., Eng., PhD., expressed his appreciation to all partners who have supported ITS students.

ITS Chancellor Prof. Dr. (HC) Ir. Bambang Pramujati ST MSc Eng PhD (right) presented a certificate to the Director of the ITS Endowment Fund Management Institute (LPDA) Dr. Eng Kriyo Sambodho ST MEng as one of the scholarship partners.

According to Bambang, the support provided by these partners is not only a form of concern but also a long-term investment in developing Indonesia’s superior human resources. “Today’s scholarship recipients are future leaders, innovators, and contributors to the nation,” Bambang said.

On the same occasion, ITS Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. Nurul Widiastuti SS MSi PhD also emphasized the important achievements of the ITS scholarship program in 2025. A total of 5,574 students or 20 percent of the total 27,796 active ITS students have received scholarship benefits with a total fund of IDR 116.46 billion.

ITS Vice Chancellor I Prof. Nurul Widiastuti SS MSi PhD also delivered his remarks at the 2025 Future Leader Forum at the Auditorium of the ITS Research Center Building.

This scholarship is supported by 92 partners, with 56 partners contributing to the undergraduate program (S1) and 36 partners to the postgraduate program (S2 and S3). The ITS scholarship program covers nine partner categories, namely Ministries and Government Institutions (73 percent), Regional Governments (4 percent), State-Owned Enterprises (3 percent), Private/Industry (4 percent), Foundations (3 percent), Alumni (5 percent), LPDA ITS (5 percent), Ikoma ITS (3 percent), and the remainder are Foster Parents. “This collaboration is to ensure that no ITS students are hampered from continuing their studies due to economic constraints,” Nurul emphasized.

The Future Leader Forum 2025 also offered a series of pre-event activities, including seminars, talk shows, and workshops for students. On the first day, students took a Self-Assessment & Mental Character Test, as well as a talk show on mental health and character in the workplace. The second day featured a workshop on modern leadership strategies and career mapping. The third day featured a talk show titled “Unlock Your Academic Potential” and a scholarship exhibition from ITS partners.

Representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture’s Education Financing Service Center also provided testimonials as one of the scholarship-providing partners.

The ITS Directorate of Student Affairs is committed to providing students with the necessary skills to prepare them as future leaders. This initiative aligns with ITS’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) , specifically SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships to Achieve the Goals).

Closing his remarks, the ITS Rector emphasized the importance of collaboration to expand educational access for all students. “Let’s continue to work together to ensure that no ITS student is left behind simply because of economic constraints,” Bambang concluded motivatingly. (ITS Public Relations)
