ITS Campus, ITS News — Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) never ceasing to achieve accomplishments and contribute to the nation’s growth. Through Surabaya Marketing Week (SMW) 2025, ITS was selected as the recipient of the Campus Entrepreneurial Marketing with IMPACT Award 2025, which was held at the Ballroom of The Sheraton Hotel Surabaya on Thursday evening (August 28).
SMW 2025 itself is one of a series of events held by MarkPlus Corporation (Mcorp) as part of the Indonesia Marketing Festival (IMF) in seven major cities across Indonesia. With the theme of Sustainable Marketing in the AI Era, this five-day event in Surabaya brought together business, industry, government, and academia to discuss the latest marketing strategies.
During the event, Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Creative Economy (Ekraf) Irene Umar, who was also present, explained Indonesia’s potential, including Surabaya, in developing the creative economy. Born in 1984, she also provided an overview of Indonesia’s creative strength on the national and international stage. “The Ministry of Creative Economy strongly supports collaboration and technology optimization in boosting the economy,” she explained.

Meanwhile, MCorp founder Dr. (HC) Hermawan Kartajaya also expressed his appreciation to the ten campuses that have successfully applied entrepreneurial values in making an impact on the wider community. Not only that, ITS, which has also helped provide a venue for this series, is expected to continue to develop as a campus that prioritizes technology and sustainability.
Through this opportunity, ITS Rector Prof. Ir. Bambang Pramujati, ST, MScEng, PhD, expressed his gratitude for the appreciation given to ITS. Currently, ITS is also developing an ecosystem that can encourage students and lecturers to foster creativity. “This also serves as recognition of how ITS has applied the values of creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership in accordance with the award criteria,” he added.
