ITS student Komang Tris Astra Putri Adnyani successfully won the titles of Putri Kampus Persahabatan and Putri Kampus Teknik in the 2025 Putri Kampus Indonesia event.

ITS Campus, ITS News — A student from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) has once again been able to inspire through her achievements. This time, ITS Chemical Engineering Department student Komang Tris Astra Putri Adnyani successfully won two awards at once at the 2025 Putri Kampus Indonesia event held in the Capital City of Nusantara (IKN), last Friday (8/22).

In the competition for outstanding female students from all over Indonesia, Komang successfully won the categories of Putri Kampus Persahabatan and Putri Kampus Teknik simultaneously. This achievement was not separate from her persistence in undergoing every opportunity that existed. “I always do everything to the maximum, whatever the result, I feel that is enough,” said the girl from Bali, born on January 25, 2005.

This proud achievement did not just happen. Komang indeed has a high interest in public speaking and socializing. She got this since she was in Junior High School (SMP) as a board member of the Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) and continued to become the OSIS president at the next level of education. “Being active in school organizations became my stepping stone to enter this event,” she revealed.

She then developed this interest until entering the world of lectures at ITS. From the beginning, this scholarship recipient from the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) was also interested in becoming part of the ITS Ambassadors to continue her interest. Not in vain, her role as the 2024 ITS Internationalization Ambassador brought her to much bigger opportunities.

Her journey in the campus world did not just stop there, since becoming a new student Komang has also been actively trying various scientific activities. Her seriousness also led her to various achievements such as winning various scientific competitions, receiving funding twice in the Student Creativity Program (PKM), to being entrusted as the Vice President of the Society of Renewable Energy (SRE) ITS. “The supportive environment at ITS also played a role in developing myself in this scientific field,” she added gratefully.

The various achievements she has managed to attain apparently did not just happen. During high school, she still had difficulty in obtaining information about the scientific competitions that she has now successfully undertaken. Even so, Komang had managed to achieve the title of the best graduate in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) cluster.

Not only that, entering the world of lectures with various activity offerings made her get carried away by the current. Unfortunately, at that time Komang had felt the bitterness of failure from various activities she participated in at the beginning of her lectures. “Of course, at first there was sadness and also questioning, but I chose to rise up in my scientific field,” said the long-haired girl.

From the various achievements she has successfully held, Komang is still in the same vision, which is to spread inspiration. Her mission in spreading the importance of education, especially to women who still have limited access and knowledge, is what led her to try to take a role through the path she has. “Maybe now my strength is not that great, but I hope this can be a stepping stone,” she said.

Komang’s footsteps are in line with supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4 concerning quality education and point 5 concerning gender equality. The daughter of the couple Gede Putra Adnyana and Kadek Aswini also advised to always take advantage of every opportunity that exists. “Opportunities will always be there for people who never stop trying,” she concluded, motivating.
