ITS Campus, ITS News — The rapidly moving investment world demands technological solutions to make it easier for investors to analyze market movements. Responding to this challenge, a team of students from the Digital Innovation Study Program, Department of Information Systems , Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) initiated Nova Capital, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based application that is able to predict stock prices intelligently and efficiently.

Nova Capital CEO Aldiez Rizkia Centrinova revealed that this application was born from the team’s personal experience as retail investors who had difficulty analyzing stocks. As a result, he and his team often made mistakes in calculating the analysis of stock price chart movements and the company’s internal health (financial reports). “These mistakes cause decision-making to be less precise and waste a lot of time,” explained Aldiez.

The 2023 batch student said that the majority of novice investors experience obstacles in accurately predicting the capital market. This is what prompted his team to create Nova Capital, an application that can help investors in conducting analysis automatically and accurately through AI technology. “We want to make the analysis process faster, more efficient, and with minimal errors,” said the young man from Surabaya.

Furthermore, Aldiez explained, Nova Capital works by analyzing technical and fundamental stocks. Technical analysis includes stock price charts, stock indicators, buy and sell recommendations, and AI-based chart pattern analysis. Meanwhile, fundamental analysis includes financial matrices, AI-based company financial report analysis, and news sentiment analysis. “Using AI is expected to reduce risk, save time, and maximize profit,” he explained.

Thanks to its innovation, the Nova Capital ITS team, which also includes Irhab Faiz Hidayat and Faradita Syaharani Murdiyana, has successfully won an international award as the Best 5 Teams in the Entrepreneurial Exchange and Competition for Emerging Leaders (EXEL) 2025 event organized by the Young South East Asian Leader Initiative (YSEALI) Academy at Fulbright University Vietnam and supported by the United States Department of State. The competition took place from May to June 2025 and involved participants from various Southeast Asian countries.

The development of this application shows that artificial intelligence can be a bridge between the world of education and the world of business. This also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 4 on quality education, point 9 on industry, innovation, and infrastructure, and point 10 on reducing inequality.

As a form of gratitude, Aldiez said that this achievement was not only a victory for his team, but also brought the good name of ITS to the global arena. “We are proud to be able to represent ITS and Indonesia, with the hope that Nova Capital can provide real benefits to the Indonesian people and the global investment world,” he concluded. (ITS PUBLIC RELATIONS)
