Dalam dua dekade terakhir kesadaran akan pentingnya SCM di berbagai perusahaan semakin terlihat. Indikasinya adalah banyak perusahaan yang memunculkan posisi baru seperti\u00a0<em>Supply Chain Analyst, Supply Chain Manager, Supply Chain Director<\/em>\u00a0atau nama jabatan lain seperti\u00a0<em>Logistics Manager, Distribution Manager<\/em>, dll. Dengan perkembangan dunia digital dewasa ini, praktek\u00a0<em>Supply Chain Management<\/em>\u00a0juga banyak berubah. Perusahaan yang ingin menang dalam persaingan harus menyiapkan tenaga professional yang mampu memahami bagaimana mengelola s<em>upply chain<\/em>\u00a0di era digital dewasa ini.<\/p>\n<p>Di sisi lain, pendidikan tinggi di Indonesia yang menyiapkan tenaga professional pada bidang SCM terutama untuk posisi manajerial masih kurang. Di sisi lain ITS memiliki cukup banyak sumber daya (dosen) yang menekuni bidang-bidang terkait dengan SCM yang tersebar di beberapa departemen dan sebagian diantaranya memiliki reputasi tinggi baik di tingkat nasional maupun internasional. Oleh karena itu Departemen Manajemen Teknologi bermaksud untuk membuka bidang keahlian Supply Chain Management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kompetensi Lulusan<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mampu memformulasikan strategi supply chain yang tepat sesuai karakteristik produk maupun karakteristik pasar<\/li>\n<li>Mampu membuat perencanaan supply chain terintegrasi yang memperhatikan trade-offs antara tujuan pemangku kepentingan yang berbeda<\/li>\n<li>Memiliki keterampilan untuk mengelola fungsi-fungsi supply chain baik yang konvensional maupun yang digital<\/li>\n<li>Mampu mengidentifikasikan persoalan pada supply chain serta merekomendasikan aksi perbaikan<\/li>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Rancangan Kurikulum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rancangan kurikulum ini berbasis pada body of knowledge dari<em>\u00a0Supply Chain Management<\/em>\u00a0serta benchmark ke beberapa perguruan tinggi luar negeri yang menawarkan program yang sama atau sejenis. Di samping itu, karena program ini adalah merupakan bidang keahlian dari Magister Manajemen Teknologi maka sebagian dari mata kuliahnya mengikuti struktur dasar dari kurikulum MMT. Seperti ditunjukkan oleh gambar di bawah, \u00a0struktur kurikulum bidang keahlian\u00a0<em>Supply Chain Management<\/em>\u00a0ini terbagi dalam lima grup mata kuliah, yaitu kuliah fondasi yang memberikan pengetahuan mengenai alat analisis kuantitatif, mata kuliah yang mewakili manajemen fungsional, mata kuliah yang memberikan pengetahuan mengenai bidang manajemen khusus terutaa yang
