Discussion on Cooperation Progress, British Embassy Visits ITS Surabaya

MKPI ITS – The relationship between the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) and the UK has been well established with the implementation of many collaborations in the fields of education, research, and scientific publications. Existingly, ITS already has 15 MoUs with well-known universities in England such as Heriot Watt University, University of Essex, to Coventry University. In addition, ITS also has a series of research and service activities that collaborate and/or are funded by the United Kingdom, one of which involves the MKPI Research Center, namely the Global Future Cities Programme (GFCP) which has produced the EVARI Map product which helps disaster evacuation preparedness for blind people.

Amanda McLoughlin as UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Director Indonesia was present with her team (Tuesday, 01/08) to discuss the progress of the UK program collaboration with ITS. At this meeting, Adjie Pamungkas PhD as the Head of Research Center for MKPI ITS welcomed the British Embassy together with Bambang Pramujati PhD (Vice Chancellor IV for Innovation, Cooperation, Alumni, and International Relations) and Fadlilatul Taufany PhD (Director of DRPM ITS). The ITS team conveyed various achievements from the UK and ITS programs, commitment to expand cooperation in the form of other activities, and discussed activity proposals that focused on low-emission urban transportation in Surabaya.

Amanda expressed her joy at the various collaborative activities that had been carried out and acknowledged the good performance of ITS in these programs and saw researchers at ITS who were visionary and one step ahead in solving problems in the community sphere.
