Pada tahun 2019 Departemen Matematika melaksanakan dua kegiatan World Class Professor (WCP) dengan menggunakan skema yang berbeda, WCP yang pertama menggunakan skema Lokal yang didanai oleh ITS, WCP yang kedua menggunakan skema B yang didanai oleh DIKTI.<\/p>\n<p>Program World Class Professor (WCP) dengan skema B kali ini mendatangkan pakar matematika <a href=\"https:\/\/scholar.google.com\/citations?user=9kbPxX0AAAAJ&amp;hl=en\">Prof. Bijan Davvaz<\/a> dari Yazd University, Iran. Beliau berada di departemen Matematika ITS untuk sharing ilmu Matematika pada bulan Agustus-September 2019, Prof. Bijan Davvaz selama di ITS di dampingi oleh Dr. Subiono sebagai ketua program WCP departemen Matematika. Adapun kegiatan beliau selama di Departemen Matematika diantaranya:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diskusi dengan Dosen dan Mahasiswa<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/matematika\/workshop-hyperstructure-theory-and-applications\/\">Memberi materi Workshop Hyperstructure: Theory and Applications (29 Agustus 2019)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.its.ac.id\/matematika\/workshop-fuzzy-and-rough-set-theory-and-applications\/\">Memberi materi Workshop Fuzzy and Rough Set: Theory and Applications (5 September 2019)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Menyambut mahasiswa baru tahun Angkatan 2019.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>WCP yang dilaksanakan di Departemen Matematika merupakan WCP Skema B, yang bertujuan khusus untuk:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Meningkatkan jumlah publikasi internasional pada jurnal bereputasi.<\/li>\n<li>Memperluas jejaring internasional<\/li>\n<li>Meningkatkan kompetensi SDM dalam meneliti dan
