On Tuesday (29\/09\/2026), the Department of Mathematics ITS held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with PT Pegadaian to explore potential collaborations in research and education.<\/p>\n<p>This strategic meeting served as an initial step toward formulating key agreements that will be formalized in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both institutions. The discussion focused on two main pillars: innovative research and human resource development.<\/p>\n<p>In the research domain, collaboration will focus on joint initiatives involving internal laboratories at the Department of Mathematics ITS, specifically the <strong>Industrial and Financial Mathematics Laboratory (MIKE)<\/strong> and the <strong>Machine Learning and Big Data (PMBD)<\/strong>. This synergy aims to deliver mathematical modeling, data analytics, and quantitative finance solutions to address business challenges at PT Pegadaian.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of education, both institutions agreed on several initiatives to enhance student competence.
