Surabaya, May 2, 2026 — The Department of Computer Engineering, FTEIC-ITS, once again held its annual event, Opening MAGE 12 (Multimedia and Game Event), on Saturday (May 2) at the 11th floor hall, Tower 2 ITS. The event took place from 09:00 to 15:00 and was attended by 53 participants, with Arini Yanua Sari serving as the event chair.The event was officially opened by the Head of the Computer Engineering Department ITS, followed by a presentation on academic life in the department and an introduction to MAGE as a platform for fostering creativity among high school and university students in the fields of information technology, IoT, multimedia, and game development.In the main session, participants were divided into four groups to join a two-hour Computer Engineering Laboratory and Robotics Research Safari. During this session, participants had the opportunity to explore laboratory facilities firsthand and interact with robots developed by the ITS Robotics Team, namely IRIS and VIROSE.After a break, the event continued with a performance session, participant feedback, and documentation. The entire series of activities concluded at 15:00 in a highly enthusiastic atmosphere.Overall, Opening MAGE 12 was conducted smoothly and in a well-structured manner, covering the opening session, presentations, laboratory safari, robotics interaction, and closing. The event is expected to enhance participants’ understanding of Computer Engineering while introducing ITS’s leading innovations to the broader community.
