Students and researchers were introduced to key principles shaping the future of membrane materials, ranging from energy-efficient production methods to environmentally conscious material selection and advanced pore-structure design.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1171\" data-end=\"1311\">During his presentation, <strong data-start=\"1196\" data-end=\"1212\">Prof. Nomura<\/strong> highlighted the urgent need for membrane technology to shift toward greener manufacturing methods.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1492\"><em data-start=\"1313\" data-end=\"1483\">\u201cThe development of ceramic membranes must move toward energy-efficient and environmentally responsible fabrication processes, without compromising separation quality,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1897\">He showcased recent advancements in ceramic membrane engineering, including low-energy sintering techniques, alternative raw materials, and high-performance membrane architectures currently being refined at SIT. The engaging presentation prompted an active question-and-answer session, reflecting strong interest among participants in the potential application of membrane technologies across Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1985\" data-end=\"2030\">The event generated several notable outcomes:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2032\" data-end=\"2305\">\n<li data-start=\"2032\" data-end=\"2108\">\n<p data-start=\"2034\" data-end=\"2108\"><strong data-start=\"2034\" data-end=\"2065\">Advanced knowledge transfer<\/strong> on next-generation membrane technologies<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2185\" data-end=\"2239\">\n<p data-start=\"2187\" data-end=\"2239\"><strong data-start=\"2187\" data-end=\"2237\">Strengthened international academic networking<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2240\" data-end=\"2305\">\n<p data-start=\"2242\" data-end=\"2305\"><strong data-start=\"2242\" data-end=\"2283\">Expanded prospects for joint research<\/strong> between ITS and SIT<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2307\" data-end=\"2646\">In addition, the session opened new opportunities for <strong data-start=\"2361\" data-end=\"2381\">student exchange<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"2383\" data-end=\"2407\">research internships<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2413\" data-end=\"2433\">doctoral studies<\/strong> at SIT, reinforcing ITS\u2019s commitment to global engagement. The initiative also supports progress toward <strong data-start=\"2538\" data-end=\"2589\">SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure)<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2594\" data-end=\"2645\">SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2735\" data-end=\"3047\">The guest lecture provided immediate benefits for ITS students and faculty, equipping them with new insights to enhance laboratory experiments and pursue greener, more efficient membrane fabrication. The knowledge gained is expected to accelerate the development of advanced separation technologies in Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3049\" data-end=\"3269\">By fostering international collaboration and sharpening its research capabilities, ITS continues to position itself as a <strong data-start=\"3170\" data-end=\"3218\">visionary, sustainability-driven institution<\/strong> and a <strong
