Surabaya, June 12, 2026 – The Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology Study Center (KATD), Prof. Dr. Ir. Adhi Dharma Wibawa, S.T., M.T., participated as a speaker in the Neurorestoration Workshop: Brain-Computer Interface in Neurology – From Neural Signals to Clinical Impact, part of the 24th Continuing Neurological Education (CNE) 2026: NeuroFrontiers 2026 – From Neuroscience to New Horizons in Neurology. The event was held at the Vasa Hotel Surabaya and was attended by neurologists, academics, researchers, and practitioners in the fields of neurology and health technology.
On this occasion, Prof. Adhi Dharma Wibawa presented material on the development of Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology from a computational and systems engineering perspective, as well as its potential applications in supporting the diagnosis, rehabilitation, and neurorestoration of various neurological disorders.
The presentation emphasized the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration between artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, and medical science in delivering impactful innovations for healthcare. The workshop also covered a variety of current topics, ranging from the neurophysiological foundations of BCI, neuroplasticity, clinical applications, and practical sessions on BCI system implementation. Through this activity, participants gained insight into the development of brain-computer interface technology, along with the challenges and opportunities for its implementation in the medical field.
