Surabaya, March 26, 2025 — The Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology (KATD) held the sixth session of its regular coordination and idea-sharing forum, KATD45’ Session Series #06, with the theme “Challenge-Based Research in the Field of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology for Kemdiktisaintek 2025 Funding.”

The session was conducted online via Zoom Cloud Meeting from 08.00 to 08.45 AM (WIB) and featured Prof. Dr. I Ketut Eddy Purnama, S.T., M.T., Head of KATD ITS, as the main speaker.

In his presentation, Prof. Eddy emphasized the importance of challenge-based research, which focuses on real-world problems and user needs. This approach aligns with the 2025 funding strategy of Kemdiktisaintek, which encourages impactful, application-driven research proposals.

This session served as a collaborative space for researchers in AI and digital technology to align their research ideas with national funding priorities and real institutional needs.
