ITS FTIRS Lecturer Wins Prestigious WSO Concerned Professional Award 2025

Awarded for outstanding contributions in the field of occupational safety.

Jakarta, 2025 – The prestigious World Safety Organization Indonesia Safety Culture Award (WISCA) 2025 was held again to give appreciation to companies, institutions, and individuals who show high dedication to the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) in Indonesia.

In this year’s award, 29 companies received recognition for their excellent and consistent implementation of OHS aspects. Not only to corporations, WSO Indonesia also gives appreciation to professionals who actively contribute in developing the K3 culture in the country.

One of the names that received special attention was Dr. Adithya Sudiarno, ST, MT, IPM, ASEAN Eng., a lecturer at the Department of Industrial Engineering and also Head of the Process Safety Engineering Study Program at the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya.

Dr. Adithya was awarded the WSO Concerned Professional Award 2025, an award aimed at individual professionals with above-average contributions in various programs to strengthen OSH culture in Indonesia.

This award is a true testament to his dedication in promoting occupational safety awareness and implementation, not only in the academic environment, but also in collaboration across industry and government sectors.

In his work, Dr. Adithya is known to be an active resource person for seminars, training, and curriculum development that integrates aspects of process safety into the world of higher education. He has also initiated various research projects and collaborations relevant to improving national OHS standards.

“Alhamdulillah, I am very grateful and honored to receive this award. Hopefully this will be a trigger for enthusiasm to continue to ground the values of work safety in every line of life, especially in the industrial and educational environment,” said Dr. Adithya.

This award is also a source of pride for the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology, especially the Department of Industrial Engineering and the Process Safety Engineering Study Program, which have been known to have a high commitment in educating superior professionals in the field of industrial safety.
