The handover ceremony of educational support funds from IKOMA ITS to the Department of Information Technology ITS to support a student’s further study at NUS Singapore.
Surabaya, IT Journalistic — The Parent Association of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (IKOMA ITS) once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting student education by providing a Rp20 million grant to a student from the Department of Information Technology ITS who will pursue further studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. The handover ceremony was held at the Department of Information Technology ITS and attended by representatives of IKOMA ITS as well as department officials.
The grant was presented by representatives of IKOMA ITS, namely the Secretary of IKOMA ITS, Ir. Dieta Kurnia, S.H., M.H., and the General Affair Division of IKOMA ITS, Yasmin Ilahoede, S.Psi. They were warmly welcomed by the Head of the Department of Information Technology ITS, Dr.techn. Ir. Raden Venantius Hari Ginardi, M.Sc., along with other department representatives.
During the occasion, the IKOMA ITS representatives stated that the grant serves as a concrete form of support for students to continue developing and achieving accomplishments at the international level. “We hope this assistance can be utilized as effectively as possible to support the student’s needs and provide additional motivation in pursuing education,” said the IKOMA ITS representative.
The Head of the Department of Information Technology ITS, Dr.techn. Ir. Raden Venantius Hari Ginardi, M.Sc., also expressed his appreciation for the attention and contribution given by IKOMA ITS to the department’s students. According to him, this kind of support reflects a positive synergy between parents and the department in creating a supportive and high-quality educational environment.
“This assistance is very meaningful for our students. The support from IKOMA ITS reflects a strong collaboration in encouraging students to continue growing and achieving excellence,” he stated.

Similarly, the Secretary of the Department of Information Technology ITS, Dr. Ir. Henning Titi Ciptaningtyas, S.Kom., M.Kom., expressed her hope that collaborations and initiatives like this would continue in the future. She emphasized that both moral and financial support have a significant impact on motivating students to pursue academic and non-academic achievements.
“We hope this assistance will provide real benefits for students and motivate them to continue excelling, both academically and in self-development,” she remarked.
In addition to the grant handover, the event also served as a moment of gathering and strengthening ties between IKOMA ITS representatives and the Department of Information Technology ITS. The warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the discussion reflected the close relationship between parents and the academic community at ITS.
Through this initiative, IKOMA ITS and the Department of Information Technology ITS reaffirmed their shared commitment to supporting student development and fostering an educational ecosystem that is caring, collaborative, and focused on nurturing globally competitive young generations. This initiative also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, which emphasizes improving access to and the quality of education for young people.
