I-Nose, Covid Detector from Axillary Sweat Odor

I-nose is one of the tools developed for screening Covid-19. This tool uses the results of detecting the smell of underarm sweat (axillary sweat odor) to differentiate Covid sufferers. The results of odor detection are processed with artificial intelligence (AI) or artificial intelligence. The operation of the I-Nose C-19 is simple in its implementation, only gloves and masks are basic protection. The sampling process, processing to display the results are integrated in one tool. The I-nose c-19 is also equipped with a near-field communication (NFC) feature, where the e-KTP can only be attached to this device and the data will be recorded. Obtained object data is stored in the device or in the form of a cloud so that it can be integrated with patients, doctors, hospitals and laboratories and the public interest. In an economic approach, the production cost of this tool is quite economical and is currently in the process of clinical trials and obtaining a distribution permit. I-Nose is an alternative screening technology that is easy, fast and inexpensive to implement.

STETHO-PHONE© : Low-Cost IoT Based Stethoscope

Problems and Solutions: There are many cases of medical personnel in Indonesia who are also infected with COVID-19 while carrying out their jobs and have died. Telehealth technology (remote health care) is needed to reduce direct contact between health workers to maintain patient handling performance, without reducing the quality of diagnosis and treatment.

Working Principle: a stethoscope is principally a microphone that functions to capture sound waves generated by airflow in the lungs and million heart beats in the chest cavity. Stetho-phone© is a modified stethoscope printed using a 3D printer. The advantage of the Stetho-phone© lies in the accuracy of the 3D model and the diaphragm so that it has better acoustic characteristics than those available on the market. By using a smartphone as a substitute for a microcontroller, Stetho-phone© is connected with the Bluetooth mode that is commonly owned by hand-held cell phones. With designed software available free of charge, it makes self-checking easy. This data is easily connected to dare services in the cloud so that it can be accessed in real time by health workers who are authorized to access it.

In the software, apart from having components for storing and uploading data to cloud services, there is also signal processing to remove background noise (background noise) so that users can freely use it anywhere. Users also easily carry the Stetho-phone© unit and can put it in their pocket (no headphones). Data will be automatically stored in smartphone device memory so that users can upload it at the desired time or automatically upload it directly to the cloud, as well as other features such as deleting data or scheduling consultations with health workers.

VIBIO : Independent Therapy for Late Speech Toddlers (Delayed Speech)

Problems and Solutions: World Health Organization (WHO) on World Hearing Day in 2020 there are 466 million people in the world who experience hearing loss and 34 million of them are children. This hearing loss usually affects the development of speech skills in children so that it becomes too late. Speech therapists to help treat patients with delayed speech are limited to big cities, making it very difficult for patients to seek treatment amid the COVID-19 pandemic. An Indonesian speech synthesis technique developed audiovisually in order to show better and more natural synthesis results. This study aims to produce audiovisual speech therapy (VIBIO) aids for the community of children with special needs who have delayed speech in the form of software and hardware so that they can improve telemedicine services to patients online.

Working Principle: The latest speech synthesis technique developed by Anggrayni and Arifianto (JASA, 2019), namely segmentation and labeling manually has shown natural synthesis results so that it can be used as a speech signal processing technique in software and hardware VIBIO©
The Vibio© device includes a device for processing sound and displaying videos of lip movements of certain utterances. Parents or sons/daughters who are late in speaking can practice independently and also be accompanied by their parents at home. The Vibio© software is equipped with a module to recognize speech so that if it is true or false a value will appear so that the utterance needs to be repeated or not. Assessment with a rating scale of 1 – 5, where 5 is an assessment of “Very Good”, up to 1 is an assessment of “Very Poor”. If it is still lacking, then the practice recordings can be sent to the nurse/speech therapist to provide suggestions and criticisms of the validated software.

 

elBicare Cough Analyzer

This tool is able to detect people with respiratory diseases including common coughs, coughs due to tuberculosis (TB), bronchitis and COVID-19 without having to make direct contact with the patient. The working principle of this tool is to capture sound around the device through a thin and small sensor microphone. The sound capture range of this tool is up to 10 meters. The incoming sound will then be grouped based on frequency, amplitude and harmonic component of the sound. The results of this grouping are analyzed, whether they include coughing sounds or not by the algorithm on the tool processor. Cough sounds will be classified again into two categories, simple ones, namely coughs that indicate COVID-19 and non-COVID-19. The results of the analysis of the causes of coughing will be stored and integrated automatically in the tool and can be transferred to other devices via the internet. This tool is also durable for long-term use because it can last for 20 hours.

VECTOR FRN Alpha : Frangible Bullet

Problems and solutions : Frangible ammunition is an alternative ammunition that has the ability to shatter into small pieces when it hits hard objects. The use of this type of ammunition can reduce the possibility of ricochets or random projectile reflections which can be fatal to the shooter and the surrounding environment. This type of projectile has been widely used and produced internationally, but in Indonesia, this type of projectile cannot be produced yet. The development of frangible ammunition in Indonesia has been carried out since 2009 by the Defense and Security Workshop Material Physics Lab Department of Materials Engineering, IoTTP Research Center under DRPM and DIKST ITS together with PT Pindad’s Process and Product Development Division.
