The 2nd ICCER is the biannual event and will be the area for scientists and researchers in Civil Engineering Specialty. The theme for this year conference is aimed to gather and share the idea how to contribute in building a sustainable city. It covers a variety of topics related to planning, design construction, operation, management and maintenance of infrastructure and city components.
The first conference was successfully held in Surabaya, October 2nd and 3rd, 2012. Following the success of the first conference, the second ICCER will be held in Conference Room Civil Engineering Department, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember Surabaya on 2016. This conference is expected to establish further research collaboration and define the platform for the future research direction.
The Civil Engineering National Seminar (SEMNAS) is an annual event and it is mainly for student, scientist and researchers with specialities on Civil Engineering or related area. In 2016, the civil engineering national seminar will be held for 12th times.
Both the seminars are organized by Civil Engineering Department of ITS, which will be held jointly in 2016. In accordance with theme of this year, a variety of topics related to planning, design, construction, operation, management and maintenance of infrastructure and city components are expected, especially on how to make our cities to become more sustainable into the future. Through this conference it is also expected that participants may perform research collaborations and define the platforms for their future research directions.
Main theme of the conference is “Contribution of Civil Engineering toward Building Sustainable City”. Technical topics to be discussed are: 1. Construction Project Management 2. Asset Management and Infrastructure 3. Management and Transportation Engineering 4. Structural Engineering 5. Management and Water Resources Engineering 6. Enviromental Engineering 7. Construction Material Technology 8. Ocean Structure 9. Disaster Risk Management 10. Geotechnical Engineering 11. Urban Planning
Please bring along your colleagues and friends to join us. Visits to scenic, cultural and historical places in Surabaya during the week of the conference will also be organized.
