Project Title: Integrated Sustainable Wastewater Management System for ITS Smart Eco Campus
Integrated sustainable wastewater treatment with safe reuse of reclaimed water and byproducts in the context of ITS Smart Eco Campus is necessary for realizing a sustainable environment because then only complying with government regulation for wastewater effluent standard is inadequate and must account for the conservation of resources. Considering the high variability and the non-linear nature of wastewater treatment, a smart system is advantageous to be implemented to ensure that consistently high-quality treated water is produced at a lower cost. This research develops a novel approach to wastewater management by integrating web-based server applications with sensor technology, thus involving three aspects of research, i.e., environmental, instrumentation, and ICT.
