Intelligent Information Management<\/a> (MCI) Lab, Department of Informatics Engineering, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) held a guest lecture by presenting Prof. Sang-Seok Lee from Tottori University, Japan, who is also an adjunct professor at ITS. This event took place in Room IF-106, ITS Informatics Department Building, and was attended by lecturers and students, especially from the MCI Lab.<\/p>\n

In this guest lecture, Prof. Lee presented material entitled “Sensor for pH and Flow Speed \u200b\u200bDetection using Pt Thin Film Reference Electrode”. He explained how Pt thin film-based sensors can be used to detect changes in pH and flow speed precisely, as well as their applications in various industrial and research fields.<\/p>\n

The Head of the MCI Lab, Ratih Nur Esti Anggraini, Ph.D, emphasized that this guest lecture aims to broaden students’ horizons regarding the latest developments in sensor technology and its applications. In addition, this opportunity was used to discuss the possibility of research collaboration between ITS and Tottori University.<\/p>\n

In addition to the presentation from Prof. Lee, several students who are conducting research at the MCI Lab also presented their research. The topics presented were several research related to sensors such as the use of sensors to detect microplastics or tea quality, which then received input and in-depth discussions with Prof. Lee.<\/p>\n

This guest lecture is part of a series of internationalization activities routinely carried out by the Informatics Engineering Department to enrich students’ insights and support international research collaboration. It is hoped that this activity can improve the quality of research at ITS and open up opportunities for further collaboration with foreign institutions.<\/p>\n
