About The Center for Sustainable Infrastructure and Environment Studies (Pusdi ILB)

  History

Established in 1985, the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure and Environment Studies (Pusdi ILB) is currently supported by more than 100 research members from all faculties at the Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS). Pusdi ILB is one of the research centers under the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM) at ITS, with the mission to develop research activities, community service, training, and consultancy services in the field of sustainable infrastructure and environment.

Pusdi ILB is actively engaged in research and community service with the aim of creating sustainable infrastructure—ensuring the sustainability of infrastructure provision and management across four main pillars: environmental sustainability (including climate change resilience), economic, social, and financial sustainability, and institutional sustainability.

At the national level, Pusdi ILB is a member of the Coordinating Agency for Environmental Study Centers of Indonesia (BKPSL), which consists of around 100 environmental study centers across Indonesia. Many collaborative research and community service initiatives are developed through this BKPSL network.
