Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) successfully secured the 497th position in the 2027 QS World University Rankings (WUR). This global leap from the 509th position was driven by an impressive performance in internationalization indicators, especially the International Students Ratio, which recorded the highest score in Indonesia.

The AIChE ITS Student Chapter launched an innovative, Internet of Things (IoT) based smart well water filtration system in Keputih, Surabaya. Combining four stages of automated purification and real-time monitoring sensors, this appropriate technology serves as a solution for residents to overcome the clean water crisis caused by the risk of waste infiltration.

ITS Professor, Prof. Doty Dewi Risanti, developed an eco-friendly energy solution by processing aluminum waste into electricity-generating hydrogen gas. Utilizing a physico-metallurgical process and circular economy principles, this innovation mitigates ecological damage while maximizing the potential of globally abundant metal waste.
