The BENWIT ITS research team has developed a method for producing gasoline from palm oil as a low-emission fuel alternative. Using a catalytic cracking method with a bimetallic catalyst, the team successfully increased biogasoline yield by up to 83% while lowering the process temperature. This innovation offers a more efficient and sustainable solution for fuel production.

ITS Professor, Prof. Diah Susanti, initiated eco-friendly advanced material innovations to tackle the energy crisis and pollution. Utilizing local biomass waste and photocatalyst technology, these supercapacitor and pollutant-degrading breakthroughs are designed to support the energy transition and sustainably achieve net-zero carbon emission targets.

ITS is strengthening its collaboration with the Dili Institute of Technology in Timor-Leste through a knowledge transfer program, which includes academic capacity building, research development, and knowledge exchange. This collaboration strengthens ITS's commitment to improving the quality of education and expanding its international academic network.

The IRIS ITS robotics team successfully secured 3rd place at the RoboCup 2026 Middle Size League competition in Songdo, South Korea. This achievement proves the quality of ITS’s robotics research and innovation in developing autonomous soccer robots equipped with artificial intelligence technology, after competing against the best teams from Europe and Asia.
