Surabaya, FTEIC ITS – Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) once again held the 47th ITS Career Fair (BKI) on October 14–15, 2026, at Grha Sepuluh Nopember ITS, ITS Sukolilo Campus, Surabaya. The event brought together companies from various industrial sectors and provided opportunities for students, fresh graduates, and the general public to gain information about the professional world and explore a wide range of career opportunities.

BKI ITS 47 featured companies from the technology, banking, energy, manufacturing, service, and other industrial sectors. Participating companies included ZTE, United Tractors, Astra, Pertamina Patra Niaga, BNI, BTN, Bank Mandiri, Bank Jatim, Unilever, Pegadaian, and Zurich. The presence of companies from diverse industries gave participants the opportunity to learn more about different career paths and workforce demands in today’s job market.

For students of the Faculty of Intelligent Electrical and Informatics Technology (FTEIC) ITS, the event served as a platform to broaden their understanding of career opportunities after graduation. With academic backgrounds related to technology, information systems, informatics, information technology, electrical engineering, and other relevant fields, FTEIC students have a wide range of potential applications across various industries.

Career opportunities for FTEIC students are also not limited to purely technical roles. The growing pace of digital transformation has increased the demand for technological competencies across different business functions, including system development, information technology, product development, business analysis, process management, and corporate strategy. Through BKI ITS 47, students were able to gain a broader perspective on possible career paths based on their skills and interests.

In addition to company booths, BKI ITS 47 also featured several supporting programs. One of them was Industry Insight, which provided participants with the opportunity to learn more about companies, industrial sectors, and the professional world. This program could help students better understand industry expectations before deciding on the career direction they wish to pursue.

Participants could also make use of the ITS Job Portal to access information on available job vacancies. Through this platform, job seekers could explore various positions while also reviewing the qualifications required by each company.

Beyond employment opportunities, BKI ITS 47 also provided information on other self-development pathways. Through the Entrepreneur channel, participants could access information related to entrepreneurship, while the Scholarship channel offered information on educational and scholarship opportunities for those interested in pursuing further studies.

The series of BKI ITS 47 activities did not end with the in-person event at Grha Sepuluh Nopember ITS. Starting on October 16, 2026, participants could also take part in the BKI 47 Virtual Job Fair online. Through this platform, participants could continue exploring job opportunities from partner companies even after the main offline event had concluded.

The organization of BKI ITS 47 provided FTEIC students with an opportunity to become more familiar with the needs of the professional world while still in university. By understanding the competencies sought by industries and the various career options available, students can begin preparing both their academic and non-academic skills to support their future career plans.

Through this event, students not only gained access to job vacancy information but also broadened their knowledge of industry, further education, and entrepreneurship. BKI ITS 47 is expected to serve as one of the bridges connecting students and graduates with the professional world and helping them prepare for their future careers. (Humas-Sh)
