Students of Al Azhar 14 Islamic High School Semarang Take a Photo with the FT-IRS Community

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 164 students and 12 accompanying teachers from SMA Islam Al Azhar 14 Semarang visited the Faculty of Industrial Technology and Systems Engineering (FT-IRS) of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS). The group was received in the Sinar Mas Room, 2nd Floor, Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering FT-IRS ITS.

This visit is part of the campus introduction program for prospective new ITS students. The event began with remarks from the Head of FT-IRS, Prof. Sigit Tri Wicaksono, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. as the Vice Dean which was then continued by remarks from the representative of the Principal of SMA Islam Al Azhar 14 Semarang.

Explanation of the department profile of the Faculty of FT-IRS

Entering the main event, a profile presentation was delivered from the five departments under the auspices of FT-IRS, namely:

Department of Chemical Engineering (DTK) by Dr. Fahmi, S.T.

Department of Mechanical Engineering (DTM) by Dr. Is Bunyamin Suryo, S.T., M.Sc.

Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering (DTMM) by Alvian Toto Wibisono, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.

Department of Engineering Physics (DTF) by Prof. Dr. Gunawan Nugroho, S.T., M.T.

Department of Systems and Industrial Engineering (DTSI) by Reza Aulia Akbar, S.T., M.T., MBA.

Each lecturer delivered information related to the department profile, advantages, and future job prospects if students are accepted into one of the FT-IRS study programs.

The event took place in a relaxed atmosphere but remained focused and interactive. In between the presentation sessions, interesting souvenirs were provided for students who asked questions. Due to time constraints, not all students had the opportunity to ask questions. The event was then closed with a group photo session as the closing of the activity.
